A worked example

Say your battery already saves your family about A$150 a month on its default setting. A 25 to 40 percent lift adds roughly A$37 to A$60 a month on top. Watt iQ's share of that is A$25, and the rest stays with you. Real results depend on your home, your solar and what prices do, which is exactly what the monthly report shows.

Pricing questions

Is the price final?

Not yet. A$25 a month is our starting point and final pricing will be confirmed before public launch. Beta households will be told well in advance of any charge.

Is there a lock-in contract?

No. Pay month to month and cancel whenever you like. Your battery goes back to its default setting.

Do I also pay Localvolts?

Yes, Localvolts is your electricity retailer and bills you for the power you use, less what you sell. Watt iQ is a separate subscription for the software that runs the battery.

What if it saves me less than it costs?

The monthly report shows exactly what it earned against the default. If the numbers do not stack up for your home, cancel and keep the insight.
